Week 7
So far, besides actual built in PD, I've never done a staff event (like an ODLC or Union BBQ or anything like that). When I saw this session I took the chance to check that one off my bucket list, plus I love the cyber world anyways. The session was interesting - the subject matter itself was really interesting. Again, lecture style - but it was a nice little lunch and learn event to go to.

Experience:
- Lunch time seminar, lecture style
- Learned what phishing is, how it might look and what to look out for
- TBH, was slightly distracted with tons of emails coming in
- Provided resources specific to U of T and what to do
- Phishing attacks are common, and not always as obvious as we assume they are
- Worst is malware when they lock your files and ask you to pay $ to retrieve them – don’t pay because they might not even give you the files
- Could sometimes mask as an urgent document which needs reviewing
